Lately, the weather in NYC has been so temperamental; one day, it’s 45 degrees, and I’m wearing jeans and booties, the next it’s 70 degrees and I’m wearing an outfit fit for summer. Luckily, Saturday was warm! I opted for my Tommy Bahama-esque skirt, bought at a thrift store while on my recent vacation to San Francisco.

Originally, my friends and I had planned to spend the day at the Brooklyn Flea, but we decided to stay a bit more local, wandering around the streets of NoLita. We made a quick stop at Inventory (237 Lafeyette Street), which as always, has cute stuff; I desperately wanted their retro one-piece Vena Cava bathing suits.
I'm not going to lie: I loved watching Avatar the Last Airbender when I was younger. When the movie Avatar came out, I was so excited, until I found it to be about blue species on another planet, instead of my beloved childhood cartoon. My friends relentlessly make fun of me for it, hence the picture of finding Avatar The Last Airbender memorabilia.

After eating dosas from Hampton Chutney, we went our separate ways, and of course the moment I depart my friends saw Harley Viera-Newton at Madewell. I’ve expressed in a previous post how much I love her style, so it’s just my luck that I missed her!Share |
