Although I much prefer the months where I can frolic in little dresses without needing to wear some kind of outerwear, there is something magical about Autumn. Before it gets frigid enough that I need to wear boots, cozying up in loafers and checkered socks is ideal. Except this year, there have been no indications of Fall; no sign of Central Park’s leaves changing colors. Instead, it’s been constant cold and rain, a season I’ve been calling Rainter. On the flipside, Halloween is very soon and every year I never seem to be able to solidify my costume idea till the last minute. This year I’m teetering back and forth between the following three: Kelly Kapowski from Saved by the Bell, a Where the Wild Things Are-inspired look, or a female Where’s Waldo costume.
4. Jack by BB Dakota fur vest, $69
5. Gold crown, $4
Last year, Opening Ceremony did a collection in association with Spike Jonze, the director of the movie Where the Wild Things Are. The book was one of my favorites when I was little and I was contemplating taking inspiration from it for a costume last Halloween when the movie came out (I've always wanted to hang out with The Wild Things) but I never got around to it. If I don’t do it this year, then I think I’m buying these Max slippers regardless.
1. Martin Handford's Where's Waldo book
2. Alloy Jean Skirt, $10
3. Where's Waldo Eyeglasses, $5
4. Current/Elliot Rugby Shirt, $126

I like these ideas especially the Saved by the Bell one; I'm thinking of being of Lady Gaga.
