The Girl With The Sushi Earrings

From now on, let me have my moment and refer to me as “The Girl with the Sushi Earrings” (basically The Girl with the Pearl Earring but more tasty). I found these sushi earrings in my mom’s drawer and have kept them ever since for my own. Whenever I wear them out—especially to school--- people always stare at my lobes and try to figure out if they’re real or not. I wish they were. Wouldn’t it be perfect?  You’re sitting in class, you want to pay attention, but your stomach is growling---good thing you’re wearing a delicious portable snack…SUSHI EARRINGS TO THE RESCUE! In fact, I’ve gotten into some heated discussions as to what kind of roll the sushi earrings are, but I’m sticking with that they're tuna and cucumber.

Now you might not expect sushi to be particularly versatile when it comes to fashion. But then, you’d be wrong. I can’t think of too many outfits were sushi wouldn’t be an appropriate pop of kitsch. Plus, they're also nearly an identical match to my resurrected Paul Frank wok + roll PJ shorts that I got back in Middle School, so the two get worn together quite a bit.
